Youth Ministry

Our Purpose

Souled Out! Youth Group is a youth ministry for any youth in grades 8-12 that aims to help youth grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Through biblical teaching and discipleship, the ministry invites youth to encounter the love of Christ as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is our goal to engage and connect with young people to help them learn to think biblically and build their lives on a stable foundation. We want to dive deep into God's Word, allowing youth the space to wrestle with it, so they understand the relevancy of God today and to enable them to have a faith that is alive and active.

What does this look like in practice?

First, our youth engage in weekly events and activities from September-June along with a couple of events in the summer. These can range from outdoor events like paintball, overnight trips, and wide games around town, to events at the church through the winter months, to serving individuals or organizations in our community. All of these events help us build relationships, engage in outreach, and have fun all while building a community for all youth to feel welcome.

Second, our youth take part in weekly Bible studies usually hosted at Pastor Dave's house. These run from around Thanksgiving until June and go beyond your typical Bible study. While these nights certainly include dedicated time to systematically work through a biblical book or theme each week, youth are also welcome to come after school to do homework, hang out, play games, help cook and cleanup after supper and live life together.

We believe it is important for our youth to begin to incorporate what they learn about God into their everyday lives. Our goal is to affect change in the lives of these young people and we are excited about the opportunity to minister to them at such a crucial spiritual time in their lives.
