Boys & Girls Clubs

Christian Service Brigade & Bow Island Girls Club are two of our programs for children from ages 6 to 12.

These programs occur on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 pm to 8 pm through the fall to spring. The leaders in both these programs are Godly men and women who want to see children in our community learn about Jesus Christ and what the Bible teaches about our walk with God. The activities are planned so the children can have fun, meet new friends, and learn about Jesus.

All the activities take place at the Bow Island Evangelical Free Church at 214 – 4th Ave. West.

All girls and boys in our community are welcome!

Christian Service Brigade (C.S.B.)

Motto: Bright and Keen For Christ!

Our C.S.B. leader is Josh Klassen. This boys ministry was started in the Bow Island Free Church back in 1969. Ranger Walter Pahl was, and still is, an active leader with over 50 years of working with boys in our community. Most of the evening meetings are divided into 3 sessions of activities:

  1. Gym time for games and interaction with other boys.
  2. Devotional and singing time upstairs.
  3. Class room time together with the same age group of boys.

Once a month a special activity is planned for the boys. These activities include swimming, paint ball, hockey games and service nights. Our service nights include yard clean-ups for the seniors in our community as well as bottle drives to raise money for our local food bank.

Bow Island Girls Club

Our Girls Club leader is Tabetha Hystad. The activities for the girls include gym time, singing and devotional time as well as classroom time with the same age group of girls. Special activities include crafts, swimming, and theme nights.
